Marco Island to... Marco Island.

Windy today.   Too wavy to drive 100 miles on the ocean so we did a six hour dinghy ride with friends from Horizon Bound (we caught up to them again!)

People know I often say 'well this doesn't suck' or things similar.   It's nice to see someone put it on their house (even if they don't seem to understand proper English).

We toured past about 1000 houses.   Some spectacular.   But I took few photos.    There are lots of dolphin and pirate statues around here.   We even had a dolphin come past our dinghy less than two feet away (barely under water).  It was cool.

We also did limbo under a bridge ..
3ft clearance or less.   It's not supposed to be a traveled path... But it was there and we wanted to see the other side of the island....

Pulled my back this morning (sore) pulling to reset our stern anchor because the wind changed and we were side into the wind.   We need a stern anchor in heavy wind otherwise we spin and spin back and forth about 180 degrees.   This boat is a sail in the wind from the side.
i love it when we see a sun dog (looks like a 2nd sun sometimes.   Other times it's a rainbow).  We saw some of both today.

After our cruise we stopped at the Winn Dixie with a dinghy dock (a nice thing when you live on a boat) and picked up chicken wings and potato salad for the ride home.   It really didn't suck either....

And of course it helps to have a hot first mate with you on the dinghy.   She makes everything in life better...

No chart tonight.  We never moved the big boat.   Tomorrow will be another situation entirely.  We hope to make a run for the keys after getting fuel, pump out and water ...
